Shirley Huller White has enjoyed a successful career as a graphic artist, illustrator, and art educator. Her ever-expanding portfolio includes work ranging from representations of psychosocial concepts to artwork inspired by her love for nature and her experiences with children in art education. These personal and professional interests continue to inform her creative process.

Shirley unites her artistic talents, knowledge of the visual arts, and passion for arts in education in synergistic ways, further advancing the diverse, yet interrelated facets of her career. This synergy enables Shirley to continually develop her own artistic expression, share her deep appreciation for visual art and nurture the innate sense of wonder that exists in all children.

Shirley's passionate and enthusiastic approach to teaching is based in holistic pedagogical practices that present children with creative ideas, inspiring them to explore their own lives, examine their relationship to the world, and imagine a future for themselves—one in which they have a voice. Shirley views the art-making process as an adventure that creates essential educational opportunities in which students learn to be visually aware researchers and expressive communicators. She is certified in K-12 art education and has experience teaching at elementary, middle and high school levels.

As a graphic artist and illustrator, Shirley employs a wide range of traditional and digital graphic and fine art skills. Her work has appeared in a variety of corporate and nonprofit publications for clients that include Liberty Mutual Group,* Volunteer Lawyers Project,* Hanify & King Counsellors at Law,* Llewellyn Worldwide Publishing, Restaurant Business Magazine, and DiversityInc Magazine. She is currently focused on projects for educational and children's publishing.

Shirley received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Institute of Boston and her Master of Education degree from Lesley University.
